Coulsdon Athletic is a community-based football club that does not hold trials but seeks to accommodate players of all abilities. We develop players of all ages with the main aim being enjoyment for all. We train our teams to play football in the correct way with fairness and respect being integral to everything we do.
The start….
The Club was formed in 1976 by a group of parents from a new housing development in Coulsdon Woods. At that time all of the players came from Birchfield Close and Southlands Close and they called themselves Southlands United FC.
…then developing…
Over a short period of time the Club found itself in a rapid period of growth, as players where coming from a larger catchment area, the Club changed its name to Coulsdon Athletic FC to reflect wider area of the community it now serviced.
The teams played in the Shirley & District Youth League (no longer in existence) and the Tandridge Youth Football League and was represented at both the highest and lowest levels. The Club base was in Old Coulsdon we hired a field from the MOD behind the Fox PH and maintained our own pitches.
…to where we are today.
The club's home ground is at Corrigan Avenue Recreation Ground where we have 2 full size pitches and a variety of junior pitches at our disposal.
We play in the Tandridge League on Sundays, with most home matches taking place in the morning. Our aim is to support the local community by offering structured football to children of all skills levels and abilities - we are not a win at all costs club.
The Club usually hosts a successful tournament around May each year which is held in high regard.
We will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
